Dear Preschool Parents,
I’ve really enjoyed my first few days of preschool and I hope the children feel the same! I am quickly getting acquainted with each child’s personality and I appreciate the spirit each adds to our class as a whole.
This week we have focused on learning and recognizing each other’s names, following class rules, listening, and playing some get to know you games like I Spy Someone Who, Bug in the Rug, and All About Me Musical Chairs. We’ve also played a few alphabet games and I am already amazed by how much these kids know and how excited they are to learn.
One of the first words every child learns to recognize is his or her name. This next week we will be using the children’s names to increase phonemic and phonological awareness.
REMINDER
*KING/ QUEEN OF THE WEEK--AUG. 15th & 17th:REESE…please bring in a poster about yourself (if you want to) and don’t forget snack (I have cups and napkins).
