Philosophy

Please do not let the term “home preschool” scare you. I do NOT run a day care, babysitting service, organized play group, co-op preschool, or anything of the like. My experience is that most people feel these terms are synonymous and interchangeable with the term “preschool,” but it just isn’t so. Preschool is much more, and you should expect more.

Although I do not run my preschool from a professional business location, I do run my preschool as such. My goal is to provide a quality, developmentally-appropriate learning experience for your child through active, hands-on learning. I enjoy seeing children truly engaged in what they are doing. I provide self-paced activity centers which offer choices for the children and provide for different learning styles and personalities. I want the children to enjoy themselves while they are at school and learn through play. I also believe that the heart of every classroom should be literacy. I believe in using quality children's books as the vehicle through which we learn the alphabet, writing, numbers, science, cooking, and more. I continually strive to keep my instruction, activities, and environment in line with the principles of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). My program is both academic and structured, but most importantly FUN, fostering those social skills that your child needs to be successful. I believe your child should love to come to school!
